Frequency Monitor

5-band frequency monitoring tool with independent mute and solo buttons

5-band frequency monitoring tool.

  • Independent mute and solo buttons for each band.
  • Configurable crossover points.
  • Selectable filter slope (24 dB/Oct and 48 dB/Oct).
  • Isolated channel monitoring (Left, Right, Mid, Side).
  • All controls are mappable.

Use this device as a listening/diagnosis tool (e.g. “is there mud in the low-mids,” “what’s happening above 7 kHz”), not as a multi-band splitter for processing plugin chains.

When you isolate a band: Muting or soloing switches the crossover filters into the signal path. Magnitude keeps flat but not phase, the remaining bands get phase-shifted relative to the original. Use it for tonal/spectral judgment, not as a phase-accurate reference.

When no band is isolated: The input and output signals are identical. The filters are deactivated, so you can leave it on the track or master bus without affecting the signal, and use it only for monitoring while mixing.
